I am concerned that I will end up gettting a crappy refurb or similar, or its constantly back and forwards for repair.ДЄny info greatly recieved, especially if someone knows whats wrong and how to fix it?ДЄt first he phoned Sony and explained what the problem was and also mentioned that he understood this to be a known issue with this particular model. Has anyone actually had to claim on their Sony warranty and if so, how do they go about trying to get it repaired? Can things be done onsite, or do I have to try and drag it somewhere (not easy as it is 46') or worse still, ship it somewhere? (the packaging has long gone, and generally it is useless to repackage it up anyway. The thinking behind this is that if it cannot be repaired then they should replace it with a newer W model, although I am unsure if this 3 year warranty covers it. It's covered by a 3 year Sony warranty, and at the moment my general thoughts are to live with it (providing it doesn't get too obtrusive) and attempt to get it fixed nearer the end of the warranty. Around the back of the set there is a slight buzzing sound, and as the video demostrates it eventually stops doing it, but occasionally does it for a split second during a film or game. Its about 18 months old and does this weird effect in the video usually when I turn the set on from cold.
